GUG.CZ created the Digital Shift (Digitální směna) program to close this digital gap and alleviate social exclusion. It aims to foster motivation around digital tools, and teach basic skills to individuals with low digital literacy levels.

Digital Chance is a 3 month online training hosted on Thinkific platform, and available all over the country. Students follow asynchronous videos and are given exercises to  be completed to progress through each modules. They can also get personalised support from trainers.

Additionally, a community approach is adopted, keeping sudents engaged and motivated throughout the course. Through a dedicated Facebook group, students can discuss issues related to the course and support each other.

The curriculum aligns to 3 areas of Digital Competence Framework for Citizens: Information and data literacy, Communication and collaboration, and Digital content Creation.
